Keith Winery
In the late 1990s, Edward Keith embarked upon the fulfillment of his dream to create a world-class winery on the ranch site. It was his intention to honor the historical importance of the area as well as showcase the unique terroir of his beloved valley. 1999 was our first vintage and the first cases of wine were offered for sale in 2002 under the Catacula Lake label.
In addition to a complete wine making production operation and caves, there is also a hospitality center that includes tasting rooms, both indoor and outdoor dining facilities, a kitchen and offices. The winery is currently permitted an annual production of 25,650 cases.

The Wines
 |
1999 was the facility’s first vintage. The winery produces Zinfandel,
Sauvignon Blanc, and a Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend called Rancho
Cuvee, all under the Catacula Lake label. Newer vineyards of Petite
Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc vines have also recently
been planted. The current permit allows for an annual production of
25,650 cases.

The Winery

The old California styled winery building is nestled up against a gently
rolling hillside and overlooks a twelve acre lake. A local artist was
commissioned to paint murals on the winery entrance walls depicting the
history of the property. The hospitality area includes a huge tasting
bar with picture windows framing the lake view and two large banquet
rooms. In addition there are a kitchen, offices, and a large outdoor
patio. The building totals just over 23,662 square feet.
The winemaking facilities include custom-made German stainless steel tanks, wine storage rooms, and 16,000 square feet of underground caves. |
