grades 6-8All Redwood City School District schools provide students with a strong basic academic program. Henry Ford School and Kennedy Middle School are magnet schools, as are most school within the Redwood City School District. The magnet schools allow parents and students to choose from alternative programs of academic excellence plus enrichment through specialty programs. The magnet schools' different approaches to education are designed to meet individual interests and needs and to attract students from all backgrounds and cultures. Magnet funding provides schools with computers, software, new equipment, textbooks, classroom supplies and additional staff required to develop enriched programs, which attract students from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Sequoia district consists of four comprehensive high schools, a continuation high school, and an adult school. Approximately 7,300 students are served in grades 9 - 12. Over 8,000 adults are served through the adult school. The district employs nearly 700 certificated and classified personnel and has a total budget of approximately 56 million dollars.
