All Redwood City School District schools provide students with a strong basic academic program. Henry Ford School and Kennedy Middle School are magnet schools, as are most school within the Redwood City School District. The magnet schools allow parents and students to choose from alternative programs of academic excellence plus enrichment through specialty programs. The magnet schools' different approaches to education are designed to meet individual interests and needs and to attract students from all backgrounds and cultures. Magnet funding provides schools with computers, software, new equipment, textbooks, classroom supplies and additional staff required to develop enriched programs, which attract students from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Woodside School District is a single-school district located in Woodside, California. The kindergarten through eighth grade campus is situated on fifteen beautiful, wooded acres on Highway 84, west of Highway 280 in San Mateo County.


Sequoia Union High School District

Sequoia Union High School District serves students from eight feeder school districts, including Atherton, Belmont, East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Portola Valley, Redwood City, San Carlos, and Woodside. Sequoia district consists of four comprehensive high schools, a continuation high school, and an adult school. Approximately 7,300 students are served in grades 9 - 12. Over 8,000 adults are served through the adult school. The district employs nearly 700 certificated and classified personnel and has a total budget of approximately 56 million dollars.


Cabrillo Unified School District

Cabrillo Unified School District, located just south of San Francisco on the beautiful Pacific Coast, was established on July 1, 1965 and encompasses an area of approximately 135 square miles. The District currently operates four elementary schools, one intermediate school, one high school, a continuation school, and an adult education program. The Cabrillo Unified School District is dedicated to meeting the educational and developmental needs of all students by providing the opportunities to explore ideas, formulate questions and seek answers, develop literacy in its many forms, be part of a caring community, exercise imagination, and become a unique individual.

Las Lomitas & La Entrada are both recipients of the California Distinguished School Award. The mission of La Entrada is that school should be a place where a student feels welcome and learns to function effectively as an individual and as a member of a group. The staff should dedicate energy and expertise to create a positive environment with optimum conditions for learning for all students.
